What is a Urinary Tract Infection?

A urinary infection is related to the presence of bacteria anywhere in the urinary system. Depending on your location, the infection is given a different designation. Pyelonephritis can be designated if it is related to the kidney, cystitis is designated if it is related to bladder cystitis and urethritis if it is related to the urethra.

How does a Urinary Tract Infection arise?

Generally microorganisms reach the urinary system from the outside, by the urethra or, more rarely, from the blood and settling at the level of the kidneys.

Bacteria that reach the urinary tract, as a rule, are quickly removed before causing infection by the very elimination of urine and by the body’s defenses. When this does not happen, the symptoms of infection become evident.

Who can get a Urinary Tract Infection?

Urinary infections are more common in women, given the greater proximity of the female urethra to the anus and vagina and given the fact that it is a much shorter urethra than the male one, which allows microorganisms to reach the bladder more easily.

– pregnancy

– diabetes

– urinary obstruction

– inadequate hygiene habits

– insertion of foreign objects

– menstrual period

– neurological diseases

– sexually transmitted diseases

The microorganisms responsible for urinary infections vary depending on where the infection is acquired.

When it occurs in an outpatient, the most common agent is Escherichia Coli (about 80% of cases) and some staphylococci.

Most urinary infections do not present significant severity.

What is the importance of D-Mannose and Propolis for Urinary Infection?

Recent clinical studies highlight the importance of using D-Mannose and its conjugation with Cranbe’Clear in the treatment of cystitis and other recurrent urinary infections. D-Mannose acts both as a beneficial prophylactic agent, as it can also be used in the treatment of acute cystitis. Cranbe’Clear, especially capsule use, has a significant effect on reducing the incidence of these infections, with good rates of support and minor side effects. On the other hand, Propolis, which has been used for many years for its antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties, enhances the cranbe’clear effect, since when conjugated they offer some protection from bacterial adhesion and multiplication, further strengthening the immune system.

UriColi - What is it?

Formulation developed based on Cranbe’Clear, D-Mannose and Propolis. Cranbe’Clear is a patented international asset developed for Urinary Tract Infections, has a high international reputation and recognized evidence in urinary tract well-being.

Its activities are attributed to a particular class of bioflavonoids contained in Cranbe’Clear: proanthocyanidins (PACs), the Cranbe’Clear source used in UriColi is of high concentration.

UriColi is an internationally reference pharmaceutical product based on Cranberry (Cranbe’Clear®) titrated at 68% proanthocyanidins (PACs), equivalent to 180 mg of PACs per day, which promotes proper function and comfort of the urinary tract.

May be associated with antibiotherapy in the treatment of acute episode. Propolis is a bioflavonoid compound, endorsed with synergistic activity, obtained by a patented extraction method that makes molecules free of impurities and highly bioavailable. D-mannose is expelled by the urinary tract, where it reaches high concentrations. It can be taken by individuals with intolerance or sensitivity to gluten and lactose. It is recommended to ingest at least 1.5 to 2 liters of water per day.

Two capsules per day for a minimum of 10 days. You should repeat every month for 3 to 6 months, or according to the doctor’s instructions.

The source used in UriColi is of high concentration and can be used in combination with antibiotherapy or in the prevention of recurrent infections.

Propolis

Propolis has been used for many years for its antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties, which enhances the cranbe’clear effect, since when conjugated they offer some protection from bacterial adhesion and multiplication, further strengthening the immune system.

D-Mannose

D-Mannose is a simple sugar and is expelled by the urinary tract, where it reaches high concentrations. It can be taken by individuals with intolerance or sensitivity to gluten and lactose. D-Mannose acts both as a beneficial prophylactic agent, as it can also be used in the treatment of acute cystitis.
